Title: Literally My Type
Author: Aurora Lark
Genre: Romantic Comedy

Rating: ★★★★☆
Blurb: My name’s Sophie Bennett, and I’m living a double life.
I wrote a bestselling book under a fake name. His name.
When my novels kept getting rejected, I did something desperate. I created Brock Steele – the rugged, charming hero every publisher wanted. It was the perfect plan.
Until my grandfather’s antique typewriter brought him to life.
Now I’m living every writer’s dream (and nightmare). My fictional hunk is flesh and blood, stealing hearts across the nation. Everyone thinks he’s the literary genius.
And me? I’m just the girl who brought him into existence, desperately trying to keep my secret.
I’m definitely not falling for him. That would be ridiculous, right?
…Right?
Too bad he’s literally my type.
Review: I absolutely tore through this book! And I loved every second of it. Lark’s prose is witty, sharp, and eminently readable. Sophie is the epitome of the once-vaguely-famous author whose fallen into a slump (believe me, I recognised this!) while Brock is every-woman-who-has-seen-Crocodile-Dundee’s choice of hero.
The premise is wild, but grounded. I loved how Sophie warred with herself over fame verses the truth. I adored how real Brock felt – unless he was telling a “ripping yarn” but these were so funny.
This would have got five stars if only there weren’t a couple of “near kisses” too many. It also needs another edit as there were a couple of typos. Not enough to throw me out of the story, but still a little jarring.
Overall, though, I loved LITERALLY MY TYPE and am hanging on the release of book two!
