Blurb: Radio DJ Lula Lazenby isn’t often lost for words, but this time she’s speechless! The man she just shared an exquisite one night with turns out to be her new boss…and his first job is to fire her!

Executive Tristan Bamfield wasn’t planning to stay in London long. Turn up, handle his father’s business and leave. But his inconvenient and instantaneous attraction to Lula has really gone and complicated things!

Tristan is a professional and everyone deserves a second chance – especially when you can’t escape the red-hot memories so he quickly reinstates Lula. Until that leads to weeks of tantalizing torture working with Lula in the studio. Tristan’s not here for a happy ever after, but his challenge now is going to be figuring out how to keep their off-the-charts attraction under wraps until it’s time to leave.

Review: I’m really not sure I’d date the son of a man who’s sexually harassed me. That’s going to make for some awkward family situations if the relationship is going to be long-term. I don’t know, maybe this is just Happy For Now?

About Last Night is a fairly short read and it is enjoyable, but where it falls down is bringing in Big Topics that then aren’t handled well. That aside, the writing style is quick and flowed well. I really liked Lulu as a character. Tristian was a bit all over the place, but redeemable.

I knew this was insta-love going in and that didn’t bother me, but the romance stayed on the attraction and didn’t delve into them getting to know each other as actual people. An attempt was made but it was wishy-washy – go big or go home, imo.

I know this isn’t an overly positive review, but I did enjoy this book. I do, however, think it needed either less and embrace the novella label, or more and dig into potentially uncomfortable emotions. Instead, it’s tepid and that’s why I’ve given it 3 stars.
